Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Draft pending legal review. Company details in [brackets] are still to be added.
1. Who we are
Offlist (joinofflist.com) is operated by [legal entity name], a company registered in Latvia under number [registration number], registered address [address], VAT number [VAT number] ("Offlist", "we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@joinofflist.com.
These terms apply whenever you use Offlist, with or without an account. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
2. What Offlist is
Offlist is a directory of discounts, credits, free periods and startup programmes offered by other companies ("vendors"). We research each offer, describe it, and show you how to claim it.
We do not provide, sell or resell the vendors' products, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a vendor. Each offer is governed by the vendor's own terms, and the vendor alone decides whether you qualify and what you receive.
Nothing on Offlist is legal, tax, financial or investment advice.
3. Your account
Browsing Offlist is free. To see how to claim a perk, including claim links, codes and step-by-step instructions, you need an account. Some perks need only a free account; others need a paid membership. Each perk page says which.
You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address. Anyone with access to that inbox can sign in to your account, so keep it secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
An account is for one person. Give us an email address you control, and do not share your account, open accounts in someone else's name, or open several accounts to get around a limit.
You may use Offlist for your business or privately. If you use it outside any trade, business, craft or profession, you are a consumer, and the parts marked (consumers) also apply to you.
4. Offers, eligibility and accuracy
Vendors change and withdraw offers at any time, often without notice. We check each offer against the vendor's own page and show when it was last verified. Even so, a listing can be out of date or incomplete when you read it.
Check the vendor's current terms before you rely on an offer, sign up for anything, or spend money. Most startup programmes have conditions such as funding stage, company age, team size, region or being a new customer, and the vendor decides whether you meet them.
A membership gives you access to Offlist's directory and claim information. It does not guarantee that a vendor will accept you, that an offer is still available, or that it is worth a particular amount. Values are those the vendor states, or are clearly marked as estimates.
If a listing was materially wrong when you relied on it, tell us. We will correct it and, where that is fair, offer a remedy such as an alternative offer, an extension of your membership or a partial refund. This is in addition to your legal rights.
5. How listings are ordered, and what we earn
By default, listings are grouped by category and ordered by company name. Some perks are featured on the homepage or grouped into bundles such as "Build with AI". We choose those editorially, based on relevance to the bundle and the value of the offer.
Vendors do not pay for placement or ranking. If that ever changes, paid placements will be labelled "Sponsored".
Some links are referral or affiliate links: if you sign up through them, Offlist may receive a commission, credit or bonus from the vendor. These links are labelled on the perk page. They never change the terms you get, and we do not list an offer because it pays us.
6. Membership, prices and payment
Membership costs $39 per month or $189 per year [including / excluding] VAT, as shown on the pricing page when you buy. [If you are a consumer in the EU, the price you see before paying includes VAT.] Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
Membership renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the price then in force, until you cancel. For yearly memberships we email you at least 7 days before each renewal.
We may change prices. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you; it applies from your next renewal after that notice, and you can cancel before then without paying it.
If a payment fails, we may pause paid access until it is paid. We will tell you and give you a reasonable chance to update your payment details first.
We may give some people membership free of charge, for example partners or people we invite. A complimentary membership can be ended at any time, and nothing in these terms obliges you to pay for it.
7. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep paid access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Apart from your rights under sections 8 and 9, we do not refund part of a period you have already started.
8. Your right to withdraw (consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you can withdraw from a new membership within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. Tell us clearly before the 14 days end, by email to hello@joinofflist.com or with the form at the end of these terms. We refund you within 14 days of receiving your notice, to the payment method you used.
When you buy, you can ask for access to start straight away. If you do and then withdraw within the 14 days, we refund the price minus a proportionate amount for the days you had access. For example, withdrawing after 3 days of a monthly membership returns about nine tenths of the price.
This does not affect your other rights as a consumer, including your right to a service that matches its description.
9. When we refund
We refund the unused part of your paid period, pro rata, if:
- we close your account or stop running Offlist without you having broken these terms;
- you cancel within the notice period for a material change to these terms that you do not accept (section 14); or
- a remedy under section 4 calls for it.
10. Acceptable use
You must not:
- share your account, or share, publish or resell claim links, codes or instructions that are available only with an account or membership;
- scrape, copy or systematically download Offlist's content, or access it with bots or other automated means, apart from ordinary search-engine indexing;
- get around the sign-in or membership gate, or test our security without our written permission;
- give a vendor false information to qualify for an offer;
- use Offlist in a way that breaks the law or harms Offlist, vendors or other users.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first.
11. Vendors, resellers and shared accounts
Links to vendors take you to services we do not control; their terms and privacy policies apply there.
A few listings are offered through resellers who sell access to a seat on a shared account rather than an account of your own. These listings are marked "Shared account". The reseller, not the original vendor, provides that access. Using a shared seat may breach the original vendor's terms, and the vendor may suspend it without notice, which can mean losing your work. Offlist does not sell or guarantee this access, and you use it at your own risk. [Pending decision on whether these listings stay.]
12. Our content
Offlist's texts, research, the compilation of offers, design and brand belong to us or are licensed to us. You may use them for your own personal or internal business purposes, but you may not copy or republish substantial parts of the directory. Vendors' names and logos belong to their owners and are shown only to identify their offers.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that: we are not responsible for vendors' or resellers' products, services, decisions or offers, or for the content of their websites. If you use Offlist for business, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, data or opportunity, or for indirect loss, and our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the membership fees you paid in that period.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, and not for loss that was not foreseeable.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. For material changes we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not accept them, you can cancel before they take effect and receive a pro-rata refund of your unused paid period. Minor changes, such as clarifications and corrections, apply when published.
15. Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it. If we close your account or stop running Offlist without you having broken these terms, section 9 applies.
16. Complaints and disputes
Contact us first at hello@joinofflist.com; we aim to reply within 5 working days.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country or of Latvia. Business users agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of Riga, Latvia.
Consumers can also contact Latvia's Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC, ptac.gov.lv) or the consumer authority in their own country.
17. General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Offlist. If a court finds part of them invalid, the rest still applies. We may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over Offlist, and your rights continue. You may not transfer it. These terms are written in English; if we provide a translation, the English version prevails unless consumer law requires otherwise.
